Two

Just a couple things today.

Faux-Ian is somewhat newly two and entering that hilarious phase. Here he is being a dinosaur this morning.

And here he is this evening. I swear, the boy will make a great Daddy someday.

And because this was too funny not to share, here's a snippet from Faux-livia's day as well.

We went to McDonald's tonight. The toy on the drive-thru board was Puss in Boots, but what both children actually received was Strawberry Shortcake. Faux-livia was PISSED because, in her words "McDonald's lied to us." At bedtime she was still concerned "I *am* happy, but they just lied to us". Oh McDonalds, she may never forgive you.

About the Faux-Family

The 5-year-old, Faux-livia, is somewhat dramatic. She has been this way pretty much since the day she was born, and most definitely gets it from my side of the family. She is also wildly creative, smart as a whip, hilarious, and uncommonly caring (most of the time). She provided the inspiration for this blog, not only because she loves the show Olivia and the books they are based on, but because at times she is frighteningly similar to the precocious sweet piggy. So much so that sometimes I think maybe Ian Falconer is hiding in my house.

There is also the 2-year-old, who, when he was a baby, passed for William, but is now definately Faux-Ian. He also, is very like Olivia's "little bother", wanting nothing more, simultaneously, than to play with AND annoy his big sister. He is mellow 95% of the time, and can generally be brought out of any sadness or mellow drama with "huggies" or promises of "moomee" (McQueen, as in Lightening). He is, however, somewhat newly two, so he is, ahem, exerting his independence a bit more. He is a snuggle-y silly Mama's boy through and through and I love every second of it. He is also exceedingly kind, and cute enough to charm the grouchiest of clerks, nurses, you name it. He once walked into the doorway at the doctor's office because he was so busy making flirty eyes at the nurse.

There's also my darling husband, Faux-livia's Dad. He is one of the smartest, kindest, funniest men I've ever met. He makes me laugh every single day, and loves our little piglets more than anything.
